AAI Organizes Advisory Committee Meeting

The Advisory Committee meeting was organised by AAI, Bhubaneswar Airport, under the Chairmanship of Dr. Prasanna Kumar Patasani, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Bhubaneswar.  The agenda of the meeting included issues related to passenger facilitation aimed at making Bhubaneswar Airport user-friendly, handling of congestion at the airport, cleanliness, transport including taxi services, international operations, cargo operations, points/issues related to airport functioning affecting directly/indirectly the interest of the airport users and suggestions to enhance the airport image in terms of services & passenger facilities.

The committee passed a resolution that Hon’ble Member of Parliament would directly approach the management of Air India and Indigo, requesting them to consider the possibility of starting International Operations from Bhubaneswar to feasible destinations like Hong Kong, Singapore, UAE, Dubai, etc. Hon’ble Member of Parliament emphasised on Buddhist Circuit & the members also requested to take initiative to bring tourists through charter flights from Japan, Cambodia, Indonesia & other Southeast Asia countries for Buddhist Pilgrimage.  Hon’ble MP congratulated Sh. Sharad Kumar, Airport Director and his team for their efforts in making Bhubaneswar Airport, a user-friendly airport & one of the cleanest Airport of the country.
