Govt. Appoints CEO & MD for 4 Nationalised Banks

As per the recommendations made by the Appointments Board chaired by the Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the Department of Financial Services (DFS), the Ministry of Finance has announced the appointment of MD and CEO for four Nationalised Banks on Wednesday.

The government has appointed CEO & MD for the four nationalised banks – Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Vijaya Bank and United Bank of India.

R. Koteeswaran has been appointed as CEO & MD of Indian Overseas Bank. He is the current Executive Director, Bank of India.

Animesh Chauhan has been appointed as CEO & MD of Oriental Bank of Commerce; he is also Executive Director, Bank of India.

Kishore Kumar Sansi will be the CEO & MD of Vijaya Bank, currently he was looking after Punjab and Sind Bank as Executive Director.

P. Srinivas has been appointed as  CEO & MD of United Bank of India, is an Executive Director at Bank of Baroda.

The Ministry of Finance has decided to separate the post of Chairman and  CEO & MD for the nationalized banks, which said to be different from the past practices.

The government will follow fresh selection procedure for appointing CEO and MD for Bank of Baroda, Punjab National Bank and Canara Bank.
