ICICI Bank caps use of ATMs from Jan 1

ICICI Bank, India’s biggest private sector bank, is going to cap on the usage of own ATMs and other bank ATMs for its customer from January 1, 2015. In a month, ICICI bank customers can use five free financial and non-financial transactions at ICICI bank ATMs.

Customers need to pay for using ICICI bank AMTs beyond the limit of five transactions in a month from next year.

The charges would be Rs.20 (exclusive of service tax) per financial transactions and Rs.8.50 per (exclusive of service tax) for non-financial transaction, beyond limit of five transactions at its own ATMs.

In the case of using other bank ATMs, the customers based in the six metros – Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad – will get three monthly free ATM transactions. While the customers of non metro cities, will get five free monthly ATM transactions. And the charges would be same for using other bank ATMs beyond the limits set by the bank.

This cap would also be operative from January 1, 2015. The ICICI bank is going to charge for the use of other bank ATMs beyond the set limits for the metro and non-metro cities customer. Currently, the ICICI bank customers are getting five free monthly ATM transactions at other bank network.
