Marico Q3 profit rises by 79.63 Percent

Mumbai, Jan 30: Leading consumer products group Marico Ltd on Saturday said its standalone profit in third quarter of 2015-16 grew by 79.63 percent, to Rs.236.87 crore as against Rs.131.86 crore posted in the same quarter of 2014-15.

According to the unaudited financial results posted on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Marico earned a total income of Rs.1,257.29 crore in the quarter under review against Rs.1,192.88 crore in the same period last fiscal.

The company’s total expenses rose to Rs.1,042.64 crore from Rs.1,022.58 crore incurred in the third quarter of last fiscal.

On a consolidated basis, Marico posted a net profit of Rs.200.54 crore against Rs.162.16 crore while total income grew to Rs.1,556.41 crore from Rs.1,452.43 crore in the year ago quarter.

Total expenses rose to Rs.1,287.29 crore from Rs.1,238.98 crore in Q3 2014-15.  (IANS)
