During the period April-November of the current fiscal, Maruti Suzuki India has sold 8, 35,912 units and the total sales were up by 13 per cent. Last year during the same period, the company had sold 7, 39,247 units.
Maruti Suzuki India, Chairman R.C. Bhargava told media that the company would see ever highest sales in a calendar year in 2014 by touching the figure of 11.48 lakh units in this current fiscal year.
The models Swift and Dzire of the company have enhanced its market share to 44.8 per percent in April-November period.
The excise duty on small cars, scooters, motorcycles and commercial vehicles was decreased to 8 per cent from 12 by the new government in June 2014
