Videocon Telecom to invest Rs 340 Cr in Internet Services

Videocon Telecom will launch internet services across six-seven circles in the country by next year with an investment outlay of Rs 340 crore.

Internet Services Provider (ISP) arm of Videocon Telecom – Connect Broadband will expand its operations by next year in six-seven circles followed by other cities in India. Connect Broadband has been awarded at Unified License – ISP (Category A), that allows the company to offer internet services across the country, a statement issued by Videocon Telecom stated.

Videocon Telecom’s CEO, Arvind Bali said the company’s strategy is to enter into ISP marketing at right time and internet market has been expanding with immense opportunity. Connect Broadband will start services with its existing GSM mobility circles – Haryana, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, followed by other metros and Tier-1 cities in India

Connect Broadband would launched Fibre To The Endpoint (FTTX services) across India, as it launched in Punjab earlier. The company has been planning to provide other internet services – Internet-leased lines, point-to-point leased circuits, hosted and cloud services.
