Probe has been ordered into the incident. The Jawan would be probed why and how he carried a mobile phone to shoot the videos that “exposed” alleged corrupt practices in BSF.

Marshal Panda: Violation of discipline and conduct rules even if the allegation is true. You can not go to battle with a dissatisfied soul.
Srinibas Panda: No wonder the act is confined to border security, but Ministry of Home Affairs should inspect the food supply precisely; after all Jawans sacrifices their lives for our security.
Varun Srivastava: It must not be taken in a way that who complains is involved in misbehavior issues. The enquiry must be done to check the truth and if he was not working properly, why he was not punished before. Why now after uploading videos?
Govind Sahu: A thorough inquiry by a judicial appointed committee is the only answer. BSF’s high handedness has to be ignored and the Home and Defence ministries should ensure that justice is done to the defence front liners.
Er Yashobanta Dash: It must be true. The video of watery dal and burnt roti don’t seem false. If in these conditions, our jawans are surviving, then it’s a serious concern! It shows how corrupt the officers and politicians really are! Strict action must be taken against this if it’s found to be true! Jai Hind!

Point 2. The Jawan would be probed why and how he carried a mobile phone to shoot the videos. That action should be taken or not that is BSF’s internal policy and process. Before that people need to know whether the BSF jawans are getting best facility related to food, clothes and necessary amenities that is necessarily required for them or not.
Sudhir Padhy: Unfortunately, BSF has no response to real question raised. I don’t know anyone in defence who doesn’t drink. Unfortunate!
Magnanimous Manas: Well, If a brave heart took the advantages of technology, BSF lost its credibility. And now, we are to probe how a mobile phone was carried with…. But what about the quality of the food???
Ruturaj Pattanaik: However, people working at the community level and borders should be considered as professionals not as officers’ servants.
Simanchala Mishra: Tej Bahadur may have violated the code of conduct in posting such video. The DG explains, he is a habitual offender has been punished four times in the past and has been deprived of promotion. The jawan is also going to retire on 31st January. May be he has articulated his frustration. But, poor quality food to our jawans, if true, is a matter of concern. If his allegation that officers are taking a lion’s share from the ration need to be probed into and if found true, the officers concerned should be dismissed.

Umakanta Rout: BSF should response constructively to the real problem…..shortfall in the system. A lot of allegations in the name of discipline and code of conduct only after he dare disclose the misdeeds ! If their charge is logical, why had they not initiated action before the video went viral? Instead of eradicating the evil, the vindictive attitude to conceal the fact indicates their heinous motive and by this they have indirectly admitted that they have allowed corruption for vested interests.
