Swine Flu Menace: 670 Dead, Over 10,000 Affected

Even as the Centre and affected states in the country have started showing urgency, the Swine Flu death toll has crossed 670. Over 10,000 people have been affected by the deadly disease. Union Health Minister JP Nadda tried to assure the nation that there is no scarcity of Swine Flu drugs in the country.

The number of H1N1 affected people has gone up to 10,025 this year. Rajasthan has reported 91 Swine Flu deaths so far, while 155 died in Gujarat. Madhya Pradesh has recorded 90 deaths, followed by Maharashtra (79) and Telangana (46), Punjab (24) and Haryana (17). Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha, Jammu & Kashmir and many other states have also reported Swine Flu deaths.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi has fixed the cost of the test for Swine Flu at Rs 4,500 and asked all private clinics not to charge above the fixed price. The Delhi Government has also set up a helpline number 011-22307145 for Swine Flu assistance.
