Shahrukh Khan leaves behind Prime Minister on Twitter race

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan is now leading the Twitter well ahead of most popular personalities of the nation including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is responsible to poularise the social media among the countrymen.

The actor has now 12 million followers on the social networking site, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi enjoys his Twitter account with 11.23 million followers.

Moreover, the diehard fan of King Khan set up #SRK12Million and turned it viral to congratulate his achievement in the social media.

The Badshah of Bollywood joined Twitter in January 2010. In his first tweet, he said, “Being extremely shy, I never thought I would be here (on Twitter). But my friend Karan Johar insisted that I should learn to share my life.”

Ironically, the God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar has 5 million followers on Twitter, while Mr Perfection Aamir khan has 11.9 million followers and Salman Khan has 11.2 million fans.

However, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan is still ahead of Shahrukh Khan with 13.9 million followers on Twitter.
