With a conceptualisation by the FDCI and Ekaya, it will pay homage to Banarasi weaves and revive the lost splendour of Varanasi through magnificent crafts and modern silhouettes.
“We are excited to announce the collaboration with the ministry of external affairs, as this is an opportunity to exhibit the heritage of Banarasi weaves and showcase it at a prestigious event the India-Africa Forum Summit III.
“Our esteemed guests will be transported to an inimitable world of fabulous textiles, endearing weaves and stunning embroideries conceptualised by FDCI and Ekaya for the show,” FDCI president Sunil Sethi said in a statement.
Ekaya offers a diverse collection of Banarasi saris, as well as embroidered saris, printed saris, suits and fabrics, bridal lehengas and saris from other parts of India.
