Mr. Nihar Ranjan Samantara, the Chief Mentor of the organization, addressed a press meet yesterday to speak about the objective and goal of ‘Aseema Odisha’. “Each progressive state in the country is sincerely reaching out to the Diaspora to tap the vast resources available, at least in terms of global knowledge, rich experience and technical expertise, if not wealth. If such initiative has borne appreciative results elsewhere then why not in Odisha? This is a humble attempt by this Diaspora under the umbrella Odisha without Border (OwB),” he said.
Mr. Khirod Kumar Jena, Chief Coordinator of OwB and Convenor of OwB Global Odias’ Conclave 2014, said, “Odisha captures the immediate attention of the world by its pervading panorama of pride and prosperity. The conclave humbly attempts to unite all the phenomenal Odia Associations on a single platform and churn on the issues pertaining to the growth of the state”.
TV personality Kuna Tripathy, who is the Brand Ambassador of Odisha without Border, hailed Aseema Odisha and termed it as a serious thought to promote Odia language, art and culture. “It is related to the pride of Odisha and Odias living worldwide,” he said.
Among others Mr. Surya Prakash Mohapatra, President, Pranab Kishore Pani, OwB Central Secretariat Director, Mr. Bibhu Ranjan Mishra, General Secretary and Mr. Dilip Satpathy, Vice-President (Odisha Zone) were also Present on the dais and addressed the media on the upcoming event.
The Odisha Without Border is organizing the first Global Odias’ Conclave on 28th December, Sunday at KIIT, Auditorium-2. The event will have inaugural and valedictory sessions where the Governor and Chief Minister will grace the occasions as Chief Guests. It will also have 2 panel discussions one focusing on the economic growth of the state through entrepreneurship and skill development and the other on branding Odisha in the global perspective. Noted personalities of national and international repute shall join the panel, the organizers said.
