BPI Airport, Bhubaneswar observes Vigilance Awareness Week 2015

Bhubaneswar, Oct 31: As per the guidelines issued by Central Vigilance Commission, Vigilance Awareness Week for the year 2015 was observed from 26th to 31st October 2015 by Airports Authority of India. The theme identified for observance of VAW-2015 is “Preventive Vigilance as a tool of Good Governance.”

The programme was inaugurated on 26th October 2015 by Shri Sharad Kumar, Airport Director and some senior officials by lightening of the lamp at 11.00 a.m. in The New integrated office Complex of B.P. I. Airport. On this occasion all the employees of Bhubaneswar Airport took pledge that they shall work unstintingly for eradication of corruption in all spheres of life. They shall remain vigilant and work towards the growth and reputation of the organisation.

During this period various vigilance programme were organised covering the above theme during these days. In addition many activities like Essay writing, Debate and Drawing competitions were organised among the serving employees and children of AAI employees.

The closing ceremony of the Vigilance Awareness Week was held at the Conference Hall (2nd floor) of the Integrated Office Complex on 30th October 2015. On this occasion prizes were awarded to the participants and the programme was ended with a vote of thank you speech of S.K. Siddha, The officiating Airport Director.
