National Girl Child Day celebration-2016 in Berhampur

Bhubaneswar, Jan 25: Berhampur children’s federation celebrated the national girl child day on 24 January. On this occasion the members of children’s federation organized meetings and rallies at different slums such as Ambapua Bauri street, New Khadasingi Bauri street ,Lanjipalli Goudabandh street, Telegu sahi, Jagabandhu Bandhahuda street, Jagannath Nagar Nelia Bandha huda street, Gramadevati Bauri street.

Children visited door to door to understand about the importance and need of girl child to their parents. Girls can do different work like boys. Girls can actively take their responsibilities in different sectors like science, technology, social work and politics. The children convinced to their parents and guardian that girls can do so many works like boys.

Through this process children’s federation members discussed about juvenile justice act, integrated child protection act, Pre- conception and pre -natal diagnostic techniques act and child sex ratio. Children also gave priorities regarding girl child sex ratio. From Children’s federation members such as Rudra Das, Suraj Das, Mamali Das, Santoshi Das, Puja Das, Amit Das, Sibani Behera, Iswari Sahu, Banita Das, Ipsita Khatei are actively participated. From Youth for Social Development Abhiram Kanhar, Chandan Sahu, Sujata Bisoi and Suchitra Rout facilitated children’s federation members.
