Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Samanta said, various banks, including HDFC, have shown interest to operate their branches in KIIT premises. He emphasized on customer friendly banking services. In his welcome address, Mr. Senapati said, the extensive branch network of the bank reflects its commitment to take formal banking services to every part of Odisha. As of September 30, 2014, the Bank had a distribution network with 3,600 branches and 11,515 ATMs in 2,272 cities/towns, he informed. At national level, the Bank has 56% of its branches in semi-urban and rural areas and is continuously extending its reach in the hinterland in its endeavor to support inclusive growth, Senapati stated.
The new branch is located at KIIT University, Campus-3. It will remain open six days a week, offering users the flexibility to carry out their banking transactions at the time most convenient for them. This is the 13th branch of HDFC bank in Bhubaneswar.
