Rayagada Collector presents Homestead Land Pattas to 87 Families

Rayagada, Aug 31: In a glittering function held at Tikiri, Mr. Jagannnath Mohanty, Collector & District Magistrate, Rayagada presented homestead land pattas to eighty seven families displaced due to establishment of Utkal Alumina International Ltd.

These eighty seven displaced families from D. Karol (Talasahi) Village have been living in Resettlement & Rehabilitation (R& R) Colony for the last 3 years.  Collector, while appreciating the efforts of Utkal Alumina, advised the displaced families to work together with the company in achieving the desired objectives of wholistic development of their communities and the area.

The occasion, among a host of UAIL officials and other villagers, was graced by Mr. Muralidhar Swain, Sub- Collector, Rayagada, Mr.S.K. Madina, Spl. Land Acquisition Officer-cum-PD, R & R, Mr. Shankar Kerketta, Tahasildar, Kashipur, Mr. Vijay Sapra, Unit Head & President of Utkal Alumina, Mr. M.Ramesh Kumar, Sr. Vice President (HR, Admn. & CSR)of Utkal Alumina.

Mr. Madina, Spl. LAO cum PD, R & R conducted the proceedings.  Mr. Siba Mahapatra, AGM (CSR) and Mr. Sabyasachi Kar, Manager (Land & Legal) made elaborate arrangements for the success of the programme.

Later, Collector visited the Garment Manufacturing Unit of Utkal Alumina at Tikiri, where forty two women have been undergoing training and producing readymade garments. Collector appreciated the initiative and assured to get some orders for the Garment Unit.
