Sharmistha bags 2nd Best in National Painting Competition

Sharmistha Parida, a standard VIII student of Dav Public School at Chandrasekharpur adjoined as the 2nd Best in the National Painting Competition held at A.P.Shinde Symposium Hall, New Delhi under the aegis of Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India. A total number of 105 best entrants from the states and union territories took part in the said competition organized by the Central Ground Water Board, New Delhi on the theme “Save Water for the Future” on Feb 16.

Sharmistha, being the best participant from our state was awarded cash prize of Rs 50,000 (Fifty
Thousand Rupees) and a citation in a special glittering function where the Union Minister for River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Sanwar Lal Jat handed over the prizes. Sharmistha has been practicing the latest genre of art from the Art teacher of the school, Nilamani Muduli from an early age. The Chairman, Principal-cum-Regional Director and teaching fraternity of the school congratulated her for this phenomenal achievement.
