Street Play staged for Waste Pickers in Bhubaneswar

Most of the waste pickers were not using Safety Equipment during collecting waste from the different corner of city. In a bid to sensitize the waste pickers, city based voluntary organization named Center for Child and Women Development (CCWD) with the support of Practical Action organized a street play named “AME BANCHIBA” in seven slum pockets of Bhubaneswar for the development of waste pickers and their children for better schooling.

Notable that, CCWD with the support of Practical Action & Bernard Van Leer Foundation working in seven slum pockets of Bhubaneswar for the safe and healthy environment for children of informal waste pickers since last year.
