On his speech Mr.Kadraka, Local Sarapanch said “Opening of Vedanta’s Child care centre will be helpful to the children for getting better education and this is a welcome project”. Towards bringing a qualitative and quantitative change in socio-economic condition of community, Child Care Centres serve as crèche for the community children and ensure holistic development of a child from health & nutrition to education & day care.
On this Occasion Mr K.K.Dave said “This centre will be helpful for the development of mental and physical development of the children as they get the quality education service at doorstep”.
Vedanta Foundation is the taking the operation and maintenance of running 37 CCC centres at various places of Kalahandi&Rayagada District. This centre will also create an opportunity for engagement of two local youth ladies of the village. Similarly Sweta Upadhaya (CSR), Sidhartha Behera (PR), Srikanta Bohidar (CSR) from Vedanta and Balakrushna Rath, Tapas Pattnaik, Soumendra Maharana, Prashant Patra from Vedanta Foundation were present and informed the villagers about the benefits of the project . The center organizes periodic health check-ups and provides a warm and safe environment for the child’s overall development, thus, getting them ready for a formal education. The Vedanta BalchetnaAanganwadi Program operates in Karnataka, Odisha and Rajasthan with 2635, 478 and 500 centres respectively and serves around 1,40,000 students.
