Visual Art Exhibition to conclude on Sunday

Bhubaneswar, Sep 12: The week-long Visual Art Exhibition at Subhadra Art Gallery at Tankapani road will be concluded on Sunday. Many art lovers thronged there to see the art works performed by many renowned foreign artists.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan on September 7, here. Famous Heart Specialist and artist Dr. J. P. Das was graced the occasion as chief guest.  This exhibition was arranged by Subhadra Art Gallery.

Andrei Famirkov from Russia, Jakwilik Brigs from Scotl and Priyam Talukdas from Assam, Jaynta Bhatachharya from Tripura and Satyajit Rout, Jagatjit Das and Goutam Sahu from Odisha showcased their talent based on rural culture. It was a rare opportunity for the art lovers in Odisha to see the work of international artists work.

“Odisha’s art and culture have a special place in the world. If we inspire our art it will place a special position in the world and we all have to support this” said Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while inaugurating this exhibition. At first international co-ordinator of D.I.S.C Asara Klazait organized the show and Director of Subhadra Art gallery exhibition Engineer Surya Ratha conducted the show.

“Odisha is rich in art and culture. It is limited to its own periphery. It has to be focused outside the state and country. We can exchange our culture outside the country and state” said Surya Ratha to Odisha News Insight.

Surat Biswal, Pravanjan Mohapatra, Lekhasri Samantray, Satikant Rout, Purnanad Mishra, Laxmidhara Rana, Prabodh Sahu and many eminent personalities of Odisha appreciated this exhibition, which will be open for all till September 13 (Sunday).
