Aadhaar-verified passengers can book 12 Railway Tickets a month

Insight Bureau:  To encourage passengers to link Aadhar numbers to their online booking accounts on IRCTC, Indian Railways has increased the monthly cap on tickets booked on the IRCTC portal from 6 to 12 for Aadhaar-verified passengers. The move will come into effect from 26 October.

The passengers can continue to book up to six tickets a month without validating their Aadhaar cards. But if the number goes beyond six, the Aadhaar number need to use, the IRCTC officials said.
