The Finance department maintained that more than 15 lakh A3 size papers are used for withdrawal of salary for all Government establishments every month, in an office memorandum.
To significantly save papers, the State Government has decided to adopt a “Single Page Salary Bill” system for its employees, which will save over 15 lakh pages of paper every month. In this process, the Government will save 1.8 crore pages and hundreds of hours of manpower in a year.
As per reports, the “Single Page Salary Bill” system is part of the State Government’s 5T programme.
