Odisha Govt sanctions projects worth Rs 900 Cr under OMBADC

The Odisha Government on Friday sanctioned projects worth Rs 900 crore for key developmental activities in eight districts under the Odisha Mineral Bearing Areas Development Corporation (OMBADC).

These districts are Koraput, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh.

Chairing a high level meeting, the chief secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi directed to prioritize ‘house
to houseless’ and ‘improvement in living conditions’ in mining affected area and prepare a project for construction of their houses.

Panchyati Raj department was directed to undertake a detail survey of the homestead less persons and prepare a project for construction of their houses through convergence with other programmes like Basundhara.

The projects like pucca houses along with drinking water, toilets, road connectivity, sanitation were also discussed in the meeting.
