ISKCON Temples Switch To ‘Virtual Darshan’ On Janmashtami

As India celebrates Janmashtami today, the ISKCON temples across India have gone digital, offering ‘virtual darshan’ to the devotees.

All the 150 centres, including the one in Odisha, will go online. Those wishing to join the celebrations will have to pre-book an appointment.

In a statement released by ISKCON Dwarka, the centre said that an ‘exclusive arrangement’ will be made for the devotees to perform ‘aartis,’ ‘offer bhoga’ and ‘do Abhishek.’

ISKCON Noida in Sector-33, has barred the entry of visitors inside its premises and said that the Aarti will be streamed online on their social media handles. Meanwhile, the ISKCON temple in Vrindavan has been sealed after 22 people including the priest tested positive for COVID-19.
