Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Tuesday, said lockdown should be the last resort of the government. He was addressing the nation on the COVID situation in the country.
“If we are careful enough, there will be no need of lockdown. I appeal states to treat lockdown only as last resort,” the Prime Minister said.
On the depleting oxygen supply in Delhi, Modi said that the Centre is working on meeting the oxygen demand.
Modi also applauded the efforts of healthcare workers in tackling the crisis.
