Dr Bijayalaxmi Nanda, an alumnus of Utkal University has been appointed as the principal of the reputed Delhi University’s Miranda house. Miranda House college is ranked amongst premium govt. colleges in India. Nanda will hold the position for a period of 6 months.
She holds an MA from Utkal University, an MPhil degree from Delhi University besides a PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). her major studies include political theory, human rights and gender studies. Apart from these, she has also provided consultancy services to UN agencies like UNFPA, UNDP and WHO.
Odisha News In the year 2017, Nanda was awarded the prestigious Teacher’s Excellence Award by University of Delhi. She is also a recipient of the ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship.
