Jat Stir Impact: Water to be rationed in Delhi, Schools to be Shut

As Delhi is facing “a very serious water crisis” because of Jat protests in Haryana and water is to be strictly rationed in the city, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal ordered the water to be rationed barring few exemptions.

“Barring (the) president, prime minister, Chief Justice of India, defence installations, hospitals (and) fire brigade, water (is) to be equally rationed amongst all,” Kejriwal told the media.

All government and private schools will remain shut tomorrow to avoid any hassles. The Munak Canal, which supplies 60% water to Delhi, was shut down after it was vandalised by the agitating Jats. It should be restored in a day or two.
