Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has finally “conceded” defeat and decided to send the appointment file related to Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chairperson Swati Maliwal to L-G Najeeb Jung. Since Kejriwal had not kept him in the loop as per the normal procedure, Jung had scrapped the appointment of Maliwal and termed it null and void.
While sending the file to L-G, Kejriwal termed his decision to shot down Maliwal’s appointment as “illegal” and “unconstitutional” and alleged that it was done at the behest of the Prime Minister. “I concede my defeat and the PM can claim victory”, he wrote to the L-G.
