In a bid to provide relief to farmers in drought-hit areas of the country, who are having a tough time due to inadequate rains this monsoon, the Union Cabinet has approved 150 days of work under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
Currently, the rural job card holders get 100 days of work under MGNREGA. The additional 50 days will bring cheer to their faces.
