ONI Bureau: The Supreme Court on Monday sought a report from a sessions judge in Lucknow regarding how he plans to complete the trial in the Babri Masjid demolition case by the April 2019 deadline.
The Apex Court on On April 19, 2017, revived the 25-year-old trial in the Ayodhya-Babri Masjid dispute by allowing fresh charges of criminal conspiracy against BJP leaders L.K. Advani, Murali Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and 13 others.
The court also directed that the case must conclude in 2 years without adjourning the case.
