Four CRPF personnel killed in Chhattisgarh Maoist attack

ONI Bureau:  Four Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were killed, 2 injured when the bullet proof vehicle they were travelling in came under attack from alleged Maoists in Awapalli Police Station area (Bijapur) in Chhattisgarh on Saturday.

Reportedly, 4 Central Reserve Police Force personnel (one ASI, one head-constable, two constables of 168 battalion) lost their lives. While 2 injured jawans were sent for medical treatment, informed P Sundar Raj, DIG (Anti-Naxal Operation).

The incident occurred at around 4 p.m. near Murdanda camp, about a kilometre away from their camp when the Maoists fired on them by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion.
