Sri Ramayana Express flagged off in New Delhi

ONI Bureau:  Ministry of Railways on Wednesday flagged off a special tourist train called Shri Ramayana Express.

The train will cover all important destinations associated with the life of Lord Shri Ram from Ayodhya to Colombo via Rameshwaram in a 16-day all-inclusive tour package spread both in India as well as Sri Lanka.

Reportedly, people from Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh were part of the maiden journey.

The passengers who are interested in the Sri Lankan part of the journey will have to take a flight to Colombo from Chennai.

The special tourist train will have an overall capacity for 800 passengers with the ticket, priced at Rs 15,120 per person. The tour package will cover food, accommodation and wash and change facilities.
