224 Doctors, 2925 Toilets in Puri for Nabakalebara Rath Yatra

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the Nabakalebara Rath Yatra preparations at the Secretariat today. Soon after the meeting, the Development Commissioner briefed the media and informed that more emphasis is being given to First Aid, Ambulance, Drinking Water and Sanitation.

30 First Aid centres and 30 ambulances will be deployed on Grand Road of Puri (Bada Danda). In addition, 50 more First Aid centres and 30 ambulances will be deployed in Puri town. 2,000 volunteers will be engaged in work. Standard Operating Procedure will be adopted for Emergency services. 24-hour services will be available till July 29.

In total, 224 doctors will be deployed in Puri to provide emergency services. 91 of them have already arrived in the holy town. 2,925 toilets are being installed across Puri. All drains, which are under construction, will be functional by July 8.
