ONI Bureau: As many as nine personnel from Odisha will receive the President’s Medals on the occasion of the Republic Day this year.
The officials will be awarded with the Fire Service, Civil Defence and Home Guards Medals.
While, Fireman Kumarbar Samal, Fitter Station Officer Bijaya Kumar Muduli, Station Officer Jyoti Prakash Rath, Leading Fireman Arjun Behera and Fireman Soumendra Nath Kanungo will be awarded with the Fire Service Medal for distinguished service.
Civil Defence Volunteer Amulya Kumar Samartha will be conferred with the Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service.
Similarly, Civil Defence Volunteer Bimal Prasad Pani, Civil Defence Volunteer Prakash Kumar Jena and Home Guard Abhina Mohan Samantray will receive Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal.
