ONI Bureau: The annual bird census began on Wednesday in different wildlife sanctuaries .
Bird survey kicked off today at Anshupa lake in Cuttack district, Balugaon, Satpada, Nandankanan Zoological Park, Simlipal National Park, Tangi forest division, Kuldiha sanctuary and other sanctuaries under many other forest divisions.
As many as 21 teams with 5 members each have been formed for bird counting. Officials of wildlife organisations, many ornithologists, wildlife activists and students of Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) are in the teams.
