Assam CM urges Naveen not to demolish Bezbaroa House

Insight News Desk: Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal has called up Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik, urging him not to demolish the century-old house of Assamese poet and author Lakshminath Bezbaroa in Sampalpur.

Sonowal stepped in after the order to dismantle the abandoned house of Bezbaroa to make way for a bridge over Mahanadi River. The Assam CM has already directed his Cultural Affairs Minister and officials to rush to Sambalpur to convince the district administration and locals.
