Assault on BJP Activists: BJP calls 12-hour Boudh Bandh

Boudh district BJP unit in Odisha has called for a 12 hour bandh in the district on Thursday, demanding arrest of BJD MLA Prashant Jagdev and his party workers involved in the attack on BJP activists on July 29.

Speaking to media persons, the district BJP president said that it has already been six days since the incident happened, no legal action has been taken by the police till now.

Normal life in Boudh district have been disrupted following 12-hour bandh today. BJP activists were seen on road blocking vehicles. Shops, commercial establishments and educational institutions were remained closed due to bandh.

It may be noted that, earlier BJD MLA from Bolgarh-Begunia Prashant Jagdev led a group of BJD cadres thrashed BJP workers, when the latter showed black flags to Ministers Sanjay Das Burma at Manamunda in Boudh district.
