Baijayant Panda allows Girl Student to inaugurate MPLAD Project in Odisha

In a rare gesture, which may set the right precedent for future, Kendrapara MP Baijayant ‘Jay’ Panda asked a local girl student Niharika to inaugurate an MPKAD funded multipurpose building in Garadpur, Kendrapara, Odisha.

The multipurpose building has a 1200 sqft hall and other rooms, meant for meetings by women’s self help groups and others, and can even be used as a ‘kalyan mandap’ for weddings.

Niharika, the daughter of a poor farmer, has secured 89% in her Class X exams and wants to study science and medicine.
