A six member team of Odisha Police deported the duo from Thailand and reached Odisha on Monday evening.
Mahima Mishra and his associate were produced before Kujang Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Court in Kujang on today morning.
The lawyers of both Mishra and Basant Bal applied for their bail, which was rejected by the court.
It is to be noted that, Mahimananda and his close associate Bal have been arrested from a Hotel in Bangkok on Sunday.
