ONI Bureau: The Baripada Municipality in Mayurbhanj district has been declared as Open Defecation Free (ODF) on Friday.
At a function held in Baripada yesterday, District Collector Vineet Bhardwaj made this announcement and requested people to make the town plastic-free.
Under the Swachh Bharat Mission, the civic body has constructed 71-seat eight community toilets and 80-seat nine general toilets in 28 wards of Baripada.
As per report, around 9,242 Individual Household Latrines have been constructed under the sanitation scheme in Baripada.
