Bhubaneswar to host the 3rd edition of OTB

Bhubaneswar will host the third edition of Odisha Travel Bazaar (OTB) from October 14 to 20 to showcase the tourism potential of the state. The Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is scheduled to inaugurate OTB. The seven-day tourism summit will exclusively focus on the business of inbound and domestic tourists. The mega event will be organised by The Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha along with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI).

Tourism Secretary, Vishal Kumar Dev, has said that three FAM tours have been programmed to concentrate on ethnic tourism, Golden Triangle and Buddhist sites in the State’s predominantly tribal, central and southern regions. The first tour will cover Puri, Konark, Raghurajpur heritage village, Buddhist sites and Bhitarkanika National Park. The second tour will cover the Golden Triangle of Odisha and Chilika lagoon which is the heart of the State’s tourism epicentre. The Final tour will cover ethnic tourism circuit which includes Chatikona tribal market, Onkadeli and Desia Eco Resort beside the visit of the landscapes of Koraput, Jeypore and Malkangiri.

More than 60 domestic tour operators from 19 cities of the country and 25 foreign operators from 15 countries will be participating in this year’s event. The purpose is to develop new tourism projects in the State including the advancement of 13 existing tourist.
