Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana to cover Hospitals outside Odisha

ONI Bureau:  Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced that Odia people who live outside the State can now avail the benefits of the scheme Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY).

Money will be credited to their accounts directly for treatment, Patnaik said.

Besides people from Odisha can get this benefit outside the state. For that 3 Hospitals – Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, Christian Medical College,Vellore, Narayana Health, Bengaluru have tied up with the Government.

Annual income limit of cancer, heart & kidney ailments increased from Rs 1 Lakh to Rs 3 Lakh. Similarly, Rs 2000 will be provided to the patient who wants to go outside Odisha for check-up.

Expressing happiness over the development, Odisha CM said that over 1 crore people covered under Biju Swasthya KalyanYojana in past 2 months.

Earlier, 6 Hospitals from outside Odisha, 2 hospitals in Raipur (Chhattisgarh) and 4 from Vizag (Andhra Pradesh) have tied up with the Government.
