BJD moves SEC against PM Modi alleging Poll Code Violation

Ruling BJD on Monday submitted a petition to the State Election Commission (SEC) alleging the advertisement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of packages for farmers, self-help groups as the violation of model code of conduct in force since December 27.

Therefore the BJD delegation led by BJD Vice President S N Patro requested the SEC to intervene and direct Centre to stop this propaganda.

However, the SEC directed the Union Government to stop the promotions of the schemes.
