Shah, who will be on a two-day visit on January 6-7, will address a massive rally to be attended by an estimated people of over two lakh. Senior BJP leader Bijay Mohapatra told the media that the rally would expose the BJD Government in Odisha, which is already neck-deep in corruption.
Hundreds of people have joined the BJP today in Cuttack. The mainly came from the Congress and BJD. BJP’s Odisha Unit President KV Singhdeo, Union Minister for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Dharmendra Pradhan and other senior leaders Sameer Dey, Dillip Mallick and Hrushiesh Jena were among those who were present at the occasion.
KV Singhdeo has already hinted at many BJD and Congress leaders joining the BJP apart from leaders from other political outfits. To prevent any possible exodus of BJD leaders, CM Naveen Patnaik has already announced the plan to form a Legislative Council in Odisha, which can accommodate 49 members. It is seen as a good rehabilitation package by the BJD supremo.
