According to Shishir, he came to know about his wife’s extra-marital affairs in 2014. “She cheated on me and left my house with cash worth Rs 5 lakh and jewellery worth Rs 2.3 crore. I had to break silence after two years when things went out of control”, he said.
The police complaint was filed against Monica with ACP, Zone-3 in Bhubaneswar. Shishir Gamang had married Monica, a resident of Delhi, in 2003. They were reportedly “separated” in 2014, which forced Shishir to return to Odisha and later persuade his father to join the BJP. After separation from Shishir, Monica got married to another person.
Monica hails from Bazpur in Uttarakhand. She studied B.Sc at M. J. P. Rohilkhand University. Their son Shaurya Gamang is a student of SAI International School, Bhubaneswar. Shishir had recently undergone treatment for jaundice. He is reportedly under tremendous stress and going through a depression phase.
