ONI Bureau: BJP has led the way by announcing that it will waive loans of farmers if the party is voted to power in 2019 elections.
Speaking at a meeting of the party’s Krushak Morcha (farmers’ wing), the Union Ministers and State BJP leaders Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday said if the BJP is voted in Odisha in 2019, the government will waive farmer loans.
Meantime, BJP has demanded farm loan waiver in Odisha as many other States have done so. The Ministers alleged that though the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said several times that the State Government is examining how to proceed with the matter, yet to take a decision on the issue.
