BJP seeks to expose Odisha Govt’s Development Claims

The BJP raises doubt over the claims made by Odisha Govt about the investment intent and seeks the detailed expenses on the Make In Odisha Conclave.

Addressing a press conference, State General Secretary Bhrigu Baxipatra questioned the absence of investors from Odisha at the Conclave.

Points raised by him:

* Only 6 out of 92 MoUs signed in the last 17 years are operational. 46 were cancelled while 40 industries yet to start work.

* Out of 17 MoUs signed for power projects, only 3 have been functional.

* The State Govt has inked pact for just 4 ports as against 13 decided earlier. And, just one port has been commissioned so far.

* Out of 18 hydro-power projects, not a single project has been commissioned till date.
