Bramha Paribartan Fiasco: BJP, Congress slam Odisha Govt

ONI Bureau:  A day after the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has served notice to 11 persons in connection with Brahma Parivartan fiasco case, Odisha unit of BJP and Congress on Thursday slammed Odisha Government for not making Fiasco report public.

While BJP has sought a special investigation team (SIT) probe into the issue, Congress demanded a probe by a sitting judge.

At a presser BJP Spokesperson Pitambar Acharya today said that investigation should be initiated to expose those involved in the Brahma Paribartan Fiasco. However Senior Congress leader Tara Prasad Bahinipati alleged involvement of a BJD Rajya Sabha member & a Minister in the issue. Brahma Paribartan fiasco is an outcome of issues over daru slection, Bahinipati said.

Meantime, OPCC chief Niranjan Patnaik took to Twitter and said that the way the government has handled both the Brahma Parivartan Fiasco and the Ratna Bhandar key issue has left many Lord Jagannath devotees deeply hurt.

Earlier yesterday, Krushna Chandra Maharana, chief Maharana of Debadalan chariot of Devi Subhadra and senior Biswakarma Daitapati blamed the daitapatis for the fiasco and alleged that there were massive irregularities in ‘Daru’ selection.
