ONI Bureau: Nearly 20 days after Centre approved constitution of tribunal after Supreme Court’s direction, the Centre on Monday constituted the Mahanadi Water Disputes Tribunal to resolve Mahanadi water dispute between Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
As per provisions of the Inter-State River Water Disputes (ISRWD) Act, 1956, Centre constituted the Tribunal with Supreme Court Judge Justice AM Khanwilkar as Chairman, Patna High Court Judge Justice Ravi Rajan and Delhi High Court Judge Justice Indermeet Kaur Kochhar as members.
