State Employment and Technical Education and Training (ET&T) Minister Sanjay Dasburma on Friday said the MHRD has asked the department to clarify on five aspects before site selection for the proposed Indian Institute of Management (IIM).
“The ministry has asked to furnish details about infrastructure facilities, large business centres, presence of mega industries and economic activities in and around the proposed site…,” he said.
The ET&T department has decided to depute departmental secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy to address these queries.
While uncertainty prevails over the setting up of the institute, people from Berhampur and Balasore are demanding that the IIM be set up in their areas.
