Sahiruddin, who was arrested by the CBI from Kolkata airport three days back, was brought to Odisha on Monday for further investigation.
The Special CBI Court yesterday allowed the CBI to take Mir Shahiruddin on six-day remand.
According to reports, a native of Balasore district, Shahiruddin had floated a mining firm Green Ray Nigeria Company in 2013 and acquired an iron ore mine on lease in the foreign country. Reportedly GRIL is accused of duping nearly Rs 2,000 crore from poor and other investors of Odisha.
